Applications are invited from unmarried male candidates [^] for enrolment as Sailors for Artificer Apprentice (AA)-130 Batch
Educational Qualifications: Qualified in 10+2/ equivalent examination [^] with 55% or more marks in aggregate with Maths & Physics and atleast one of these subjects; Chemistry/ Biology/ Computer [^] Science.
Age Limit: Candidates should have been born between: 01 Aug 1991 to 31 Jul 1994 (both dates inclusive)
Pay & Allowances: Rs.5200-20200
Note: Promotion prospects exist up to the rank of Master Chief Petty Officer-I (Equivalent to Subedar Major) with pay scale: Rs.9300-34800.
Physical Standards: (a) Height and Weight. Minimum height : 157 cms and Chest should be proportionate. Minimum chest expansion of 5cms.  (b) Eye Sight- Without glasses: Better Eye: 6/12, Worse Eye: 6/12, With glasses- Better Eye:6/9, Worse Eye:6/12.
Selection Method: Selection of recruits is based on the order of merit on their performance in Written Test, Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and fitness in the Medical Examinations.
Training: The training will commence in August 2011, with 09 weeks Basic Training at INS Chilka followed by Professional training in the allotted trade in various Naval Training Establishments.
Examination Centres: Aizwal, Almora, Ambala, Rohtak, Kolkata, Chennai, Chilka, Coimbatore, Dehradun, Gangtok, Ranchi, Kanpur, Guwahati, Gwalior/ Bhopal, Jalandhar, Jammu, Jamnagar, Jodhpur, Kochi, Kohima, Lakshadweep, Lonavala, Mumbai, New Delhi, Port Blair, Shillong, Dharmshala, Vasco-da-Gama, Vishakhapatnam, Arakkonam, Tirunelveli & Karwar.
How to apply

Apply as per format. The envelope  containing the form should be in white colour and should be superscribed with the type of entry, choice of centre and percentage of marks in 10+2 board examination. One additional recent coloured passport size photograph should be submitted along with candidate's name and signature on the reverse of the photograph.
